Ok so I just bought and fixed up a 05 kingqaud 700. I was checken out some videos on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-RgRwgU0-Kc
I know that he had to be in KHM, but you can hear that the motor rev's way hgher after he did that.
Can anyone tell me what sorta mod electrically they have done.
I am a tech and noboby comes in wanting things done to change anything.

It would be easier to tell if he spoke english... lol... I dont know man. The caption says clutch, but I would say that he did something with the cdi or computer somewhere to raise the limiter. Not to familiar with king quads, or utes really..

He didnt do anything electrical, What he did was put in heavier clutch weights or added pvc to them, the motor has a hard time revving so this tells me that the cvt clutch is heavier than normal, it would be a slow accelerating quad but will have a higher top end speed, really it ruins them cause a small 300cc quad could out run in say 300 feet but up top it would pull away from the smaller quad, clutch tuning just moves the Power around.

Ok, what I think.
Now you got to take into consideration that he's free reving it. I''ve free reved a LT80 to 13k. I figure on the gound only 12k is usable.
I don't think clutch's play a role in a free rev.
On the ground I'd think it'd only go 65-70 or so.
The quad looked like the exhaust had a aluminium end cap so I think it was piped. I also think it had a bigger cam and carb. Prolly too big IMO.
You notice that he had to feather the throttle to get it up to high rpm's. When he was blipping the throttle at low rpm it stumbled bad.
At high rpm's the harmonic distortion in the valve train was very noticable.
He prolly put a high rev box on it too. That's 1000 rpm extra.
Very cool tho.
