Motor Fan
#11
I've been using the King Quad for more utility work than trail riding lately... last summer I was working a field and heated the bike up quite hot. The oil light never came on, but I could smell the hot oil from the engine. Again last week I was plowing snow in super low range, and could feel the heat from the engine. The problem with plowing snow is that with the plow attached, I can't go for a good cruise to cool the engine down. I think the fans will be a help.

I agree with you Kevin, it's hard at work plowing deep snow and the KQ's engine could use some help to cool at times. Minehunter, comes up with a interesting idea in the use of the cumpute fan. The fact that it uses little power to run is at least encouraging. Thanks for the information about your KQ and tech help, Minehunter. Robh, you're obviously happy with the fan you have mounted. Do you intend to incorporate some type of automatic sensor for fan operation some day?
