Grizzly 450 or King Quad 450?
#1
Hey guys, Im looking to buy a NEW midsize ATV and have narrowed my search down to the Grizzly 450 or King Quad 450. Both seem to have nearly identical features and price tag. What are your opinions? Reliability is key for me. Which should I buy?
Thanks.
Thanks.

As far as reliability goes, I don't think you could go wrong with either. I had the Kodiak 450 and loved it. However after a lot of mudding in two years, the bearings and seals started to go. Of course that may be normal for the amount of mud I went thru. I now have a King Quad 700 (same body and frame as the 450) and I like it also. I the the ride was better on the Kodiak (after I got aftermarket tires and rims). I think they are pretty comparable though the fuel inj and power is greater on the King Quad.
I myself wish I would have gotten another Kodiak due to my size (I'm 5' 4") and the steering was much better on it.
Well..I guess this din't help you at all but again, I think either way you will be happy.

If you get the Zuke, make sure you put a good air filter like UNI or TwinAir in it. The stock paper air filter is junk, and can destroy your engine, by not sealing properly. If your dealer can't install a UNI or Twin Air for you, don't ride the bike much till you get one.
The UNI and Twin Air will need to be oiled before use, and I would get a tube of filter grease to guarantee an airtight seal between the filter and airbox. Both of them can be cleaned and reused by using a filter cleaning kit.
Check Rocky Mountain ATV for filters, oil, grease, and cleaners.
AFAIK the grizzly filter works fine, but I would still put some grease on it to make sure you have a tight seal. And all paper filters are worthless when wet.
