yes, can pop-start it too. I flooded the hell out of my CR500 once. took 30 foot tow strap from my truck to the front forks, had my dad drive down the road popped the clutch out and had to go about 20 feet till it started up. (usually starts 3rd kick no prob

Can you jump start a quad with a car???
BS I have seen 2 honda 300ex's with wiring harness problems after they had done just this. If I was out in the woods camping and needed to start it and there was no backup starter then yes. Otherwise get it fixed the right way no need to farmer it together.

Yeah Right, Maybe they had the problem to start with that's why they needed to be jump started in the first place. I Have a ATV shop since 1993 and never caused a problem using a car battery to jump a quad as long as it's not in a running car.
12 volts is 12 volts the Atv will only draw as many amps as needed to start. The problem can occur if the car is running when the quad starts and begins to charge a power surg can occur and cause problems with the quad.
