i just recently purchased sait atv from a friend.. i has been sitting for roughly 3 years.. i cleaned the carb, changed the plug, and drained, cleaned and refilled the tank and fuel lines... the starter works fine and it will start and run as long as you hold the starter button... release the starter button and it dies... please help.. what am i missing here. i kno it ran before it was stored because i was the last person to ride it 3 years ago.. lol

 

any ideas???? i gotta get this thing runnin asap

 

Do you by any chance have it hooked to a battery charger? If so thats the problem the electric from the charger is to dirty to run the bike.
