Default LT230 Jetting question

I just replaced the cylinder and pistion(wiseco 10.25:1) I also use a uni filter and run it with no lid. It bogs really bad at wide open throttle, the carb has been cleaned so that is not the issue. I would assume I need a larger main jet, my questions is Where can I purcahse jets? Also what would you suggest for jetting for my current setup? I eventuly am going to run an after market exhaust.

Default LT230 Jetting question

I may be interested in just buying a whole new carb assembly and then putting the filter off the carb and ditching the box, if I knew what I would need for jetting to do this. Where would I be able to purchase this setup? I have read about people doing this but they didnt mention the products they used.

What do you want to accomplish? Let me know coz I've been up n down n round n round n back again with these quads and carbs.

I don't know if ditching the box is a good idea. Gets too dirty too fast and really doesn't let much more air in. Running with no lid is better.

Default LT230 Jetting question

Well when I hold it wide open throttle it bogs really bad. The carb is clean and just had a rebuild so all is good. I am not sure if any of the local shops carry the jet series I need. Is there a better carb to out there? what would I use for a main jet and where can I get one.

I already answered those questions on the other thread.

I don't know what you mean by better carb? What do you want to accomplish? The stock carb is an ok carb. I use it on my bayou every single day. Bigger carbs are for revving out and smaller carbs are for low end grunt. You can't have it both ways. You have to pick one.

If the carb is clean and rebuilt, then put the lid back on the airbox and it should run fine. Otherwise, you have to buy bigger jets and move the needle.
