Default z400 exhaust

i have a 03 suzuki z400 i want to know if i can run a straight pipe. if i can how much power does it add and will it damage anything. plz help

Go for it. Won't hurt anything & it's rumored that it will add 8-12 H.P.

I run an open header on all my quads.

it wont hurt anything except your ears, remember you will have to rejet the carb or you'll be running lean

Default z400 exhaust

did you just remove your stock canister and run the mid pipe? If you did that you can still damage the motor if you are running bigger jets. You can run straight pipes but they need to be designed to control how fast the exhaust goes out the pipe.
