2000 ltf300f Doesn't Start
#1
Hey guys,
My 2000 ltf300f does not start. I have owned it since new and have never had it not start. First, it turns over like normal. That is, the battery is charged and the starter works. I pulled the plug and rested it against the cylinder and it sparked. But I am going to get a new plug since the one that is in there has never been changed. The color of the plug is black as in quite a bit of carbon. Note that I pulled the air filter when I tried to start it. So I think I have eliminated electrical (spark) and air as the problems.
When I pulled the plug after trying to start it the plug looked try like it wasn't getting any gas. I looked online and it shows an optional fuel pump. I don't know if mine has a fuel pump or not but I will check.
Does any body know if there is a fuse box? If so where is it located?
Any body else have any suggestion about what to look for as possible causes of not starting???
Thanks,
Gary

yes there is 2 fuse boxes on a bracket but your carb looks too intricit for me to tell if there is a fuel pump in the carb or not sorry.....i would spray some ether down the carb and try to start it and if it does then there is a clog in the fuel system some where or (if there is a fuel pump) the fuel pump needs attending to..and if it doesnot start then that opens a whole nother can of worms.....this site might help you click here.....but try ether to see what happens
