but i just want to kno if there are any issues with them...
oh and he says it has a leak in the radiator cuz a end cap came off... just want to kno if that is ok.. and where i can get one..

Sounds like a bit of a lateral move IMO.......
The 2003 z400s were not as quick as the 2005-2008 models - the new cams, bigger carb and exhaust bend made a big difference. If it was a 2005 model or later I might see it being a good deal for you. The 2003 z400 didn't even have the good suspension up front, so not much advantage over the 400ex there either.....
So a heavily modified 400ex should have no problem sticking right with a lightly modded '03 z400...... speed and handling would probably be about even and would all come down to the rider.......
Unless the z400 is in much better shape, with low hours or something compared to your Honda I'm not sure if you are getting an upgrade......
