Default hello suzuki owners!

so i just might be trading my 2001 400ex with many mods for a 2003 suzuki z400 with light mods...

so i wuz wondering if i should do it i dont rly kno much abt them ive ridden 2 of them my friends and of course im not gonna rip on the machine as if it is mine lol!!
but i just want to kno if there are any issues with them...

oh and he says it has a leak in the radiator cuz a end cap came off... just want to kno if that is ok.. and where i can get one..

idk you might try www.bikebandit.com,www.motosport.com,and www.denniskirk.com also first you might want to contact you local dealer and see how much one is but i have an 07 and it dosent have endcaps or anything but by what ive discoverd there pretty good because i have put mine through mortal heck and it is still running and driving mine has a hmf pipe and a air filter and i squzed 72mph out of it shiftin from fourth to fith

Sounds like a bit of a lateral move IMO.......

The 2003 z400s were not as quick as the 2005-2008 models - the new cams, bigger carb and exhaust bend made a big difference. If it was a 2005 model or later I might see it being a good deal for you. The 2003 z400 didn't even have the good suspension up front, so not much advantage over the 400ex there either.....

So a heavily modified 400ex should have no problem sticking right with a lightly modded '03 z400...... speed and handling would probably be about even and would all come down to the rider.......

Unless the z400 is in much better shape, with low hours or something compared to your Honda I'm not sure if you are getting an upgrade......

my 03 hauls *** and i can keep up with anyone but ss97 is right when he says the 03 doesn't have the greatest suspension up front.

i think the 03's had a problem with the frame cracking

hell the only reason i wanted it is cause tht it has reverse and i am 15 yrs old and only weigh 120 pounds and tht 380pound honda is hard to pick up and turn around on the trails!!

Well if that is the case go for it...... you're not going to lose out with the Suzuki....

if you do get it check the front end of the frame for cracks or paint chipping which could show a possible crack
