Default 1990 LT250R questions

Here is the Info on the quad
"1990 Suzuki LT250R... It is suppost to be bored out to a 265 but im not sure soo dont hold me to it... it has a full fmf exhaust system with a fatty pipe into a power core silencer"
My Question is are these a good quad, how well do they run compared to the Honda 250r's

As with all used sport/race quads.... look the frame over VERY carefully for cracks or re-welds. Listen for any engine bearing growling from the engine at idle.

I had an '86 LT250R at one time. Great quad, very light. The newer 87-92 powervalve engines have more power than the 85-86s.

You will be right on par as far as straightline speed goes compared to the Honda 250r, but the Honda will outhandle the LT by a mile.

One more thing...... if it's bored to 265cc, that means it's already .080 over So, if the bore ever gets messed up & needs a top-end rebuild, it will need to have a whole new sleeve also.
