Just Got my first ATV its a lt-4wd. Any one have and pointers on problems? It currently isnt running but in the process of getting a cdi for it. Ive heard that the size of engine should be on the head but can't find it, how many cc is it?

any other information that I can recieve from the vin. any website that are valuable? Does anyone have one of the clymers books, are they helpful?

Not sure what an LT-4wd is....... I'm guessing it is a 4x4 but what is it? King Quad? Ozark?

 

Yes it 4wd and i think that its a kingquad.

 

Suzuki King Quad, 1st gen. Unless its older than 91 it's a 300 (actually 280 cc)
They are nearly bulletproof.

 

You can get a cdi off eBay for usually around 25$

 

th LT 4wd also came commonly in the 250 cc version... mine is an 1988..

 

My Late Cousin had both the 1989 Suzuki LT4WD 250 QuadRunner and the 1993 Suzuki LT4WD 300 King Quad , it should have decals on the side of gas tank with King Quad if it's the 300 KQ ; the easy way to determine if it's the 300 KQ it will have 12' wheels and tires !

And glenlivet is correct the Suzuki LT4WD's are very tough quads , i bought the 1993 Suzuki LT4WD 300 KQ from my cousin's youngest brother shortly after my cousins death in late 1999 ; and i kept it untill Feb. 2006 when i sold it to my youngest brother ; and it's still running like new today !.........
