I have a 06 vinson auto,only 106 easy miles on it.When i have it in 4x4 only and let off the gas i am getting a clicking noise from the right hand side.It seemed like it was in the auto clutch?But i just brought it to the dealer,they say the noise is normal.Is this true on these machines?I never noticed it before,the machine is 100 percent stock.Thanks for any help.

 

I have the same thing on my 04. It had about 180 miles on it and it started clicking this weekend when I let off the gas. I think it is the CVT tranny. It also does it if I hit the rear brake, but not the front. Did you ever find out what was causing it? I am thinking about opening up the cover and cleaning whatever is in there.

 

My quad spent two weeks at the dealership,they checked out everything,finely they got another vinson in for service and it made the same noise.The service manager said it's because of the dry clutch system they use,and it's normal.I had him put it on the repair order,then sold the quad,not because of the noise just lack of use.I think it might have made the noise all along,i just never noticed it.I'd never run the machine on hard packed terrain in 4x4 at high speeds,this is when i first noticed it on the road outside my house.If i'd kept the quad i would have put a stronger clutch kit in,just to see if that would help.good luck.
