Default Questions About New 450 KQ

I saw in OM where to check oil level, and the 3 minute thing to do it,but, how do you get those fasterners off without tearing them up?I tried to flip with screwdriver,no deal without tearing&scratching, then tried little vice grips to pop the center out, buggered up the plastic head.their has to be some kind of tool to lift them up,none in tool kit.Engineering at Suzuki really worked overtime to come up with this deal. They want you to do it every day you ride it?
These machines have aluminum jugs, without any cast iron sleeve.they have a coating to make this work.Steel piston rings on soft metal jug, wondering if their are some units out there with a lotta hours,to see how long this coating will last.without any iron,no way to bore out&overhaul. It would take a new jug if it startrs using oil,or looses compression down the road.I usually keep mine for 10-15 years. It may last for a long service life, don`t know.

Default Questions About New 450 KQ

Used 2 screwdrivers to pop them out, with minimal damage, surely they could have utilized some kind of door?
Onthe plating in cylinder, they`ve been using this process on the bigger machines at least 7 yrs I found after some digging,so it must be working for them,or this page would be covered with dicussion about it.
