1986 230 quadsport

any help on why theres a second delay when i give it gas, i'll hit the throttle and it hesitates a second, cant figure out why, amd clue????????

did u check the carb and clean it real good gas might not pass threw it as easily if the carb is cloged

i would make sure the floats in the carb are workin correctly
