I have a 2007 Eiger 4x4 AT and it free wheels like crazy. Even when I have it in low gear it will still pick up momentum going down a hill. I have to constantly use the brakes and my friend has a Vinson and never uses the brakes. Is this normal for the Eiger? Do you think something could be wron with the transmission?

I have the same machine. In high, engine-braking alone will not slow it down much on steep hills. But in low, the engine-braking will keep it at a steady speed on all but the steepest hills.

 

Iv got an 04, my 1st gear low does fine on steep hills. In high id have to brake.
