450 vs 500 specs.

The 500 is the 450 bored out from 84mm to 87.5mm, the stroke remains the same at 82mm with power steering.

I highly doubt the extra 39 cc would be felt a whole lot but who knows (cant hurt).

Other than that far from a new ATV but defiantly a step forward. Basically $1000 for easier steering.

 

Interesting how it is lighter with more ground clearance than the old 450 thoe!

 

With the same tires ,frame and suspension cant see how the ground clearance can be different, the weight may be due to one having alloy rims vs steel rims on the other.

I always liked the discontinued 500 Vinson,and read a 500 Utility shoot out where the KQ 450 was on top,yet Suzuki still when out and changed it anyways.

The new bored out KQ 500 may out power the 550s since the old KQ 450 was so close as is.

 

I belive the compition will be very stiff as I have seen the Grizz 550 in action pretty impresive for a 500 class quad!

Wow as I said before I like the look of the 09 LT-R! The new LT400 looks sweet though! Should be a cool quad!

 

I would like to take one of the 400's for a spin esp now since they have added EFI.
