Default suzuki ozark brake question

I went riding today at Carolina Adventure World in South Carolina and got in a little bit of water. Soon afterwards my rear brakes stopped stopping me.... any ideas as to why this has happened and what I can do about it. I am assuming that I got water into the drum and that has caused a problem. If that is the case will the drum dry itself and the drums work again. By the way the back hand brake has no tension. tried to tighten the cable but nothing happened

Thanks for yalls help
