Default 2006 KingQuad with 1000 miles on Paper Air Filter

Purchased a 2006 KingQuad with 1000 miles on it a week or so back and joined ATV Connections not long after. I quickly started to pray the previous owner had changed the air filter.

Well unfortunately looks like a stock paper filter. I'll be ordering a TwinAir filter Monday but other that that is there anything I should do? I'm really a little worried at this point.

So give it to me..... I can take it.

The Paper Air Filter problem was corrected long ago and even at that, most people will tell you that it was greatly exagerated.

A poor fit between the filter and the housing was the problem. If you had one of the faulty systems, AND you did a lot of dusty trail riding - you had a problem.

OK; First thing with 1K miles on the clock - if it hasn't broken yet - odds are you are not going to have a problem.

#2 Take the serial number down to the Suzuki dealer and have them check to see if you have one of the machines with the bad air system (you'll feel better)

#3 Change to the oil / foam filter if it makes you feel better - no worries!

#4 Enjoy your King Quad!

Good deal, thanks for that reply it was very informative. I knew mine didn't look bad but was concerned. I've got a UNI filter on the way so I feel better already!

Thanks again BAIR
