Default help with 2002 eiger

A coworker has a 400 auto and has been having some problems. First the electric start stopped working. He has been pull starting it but now he can not pull the rope anymore. The bike was running fine last time out. Any thoughts on what could be wrong? Thanks

I dunno if this is the problem, but I had a similar problem with mine. The push starter didn't work, not a sound, and neither did the pull start. Turns out the pull start wasn't able to generate enough power to start it for some reason, and there was stuff or corrosion in the starter button. Just had to push it a bunch of times and it started, then it started working again, has worked fine ever since.

see if you can jump the cylinoid on the starter motor itself. get a volt meter/electrical tester, what ever you wana call it, and start testing the current to the starter. with and with out the strater button on. i would first try and gett the electric start going. if there is no change in current to the starter then your switch might be bad, or a fuse
