Need Help with my Uncles King Quad
#1
My uncle was riding his 99 KQ and hit a tree, still ran fine, just bent the frame. He and my other uncle stripped it all down, and put it back together on a new frame. Now they cant get any power to the ignition/gauges, no lights, no anything. I got the test light out and traced most of the wiring not finding any problems. I got hung up when i found that as soon as we turned the key on, it blew the main fuse. We have unplugged almost everything and still blown dozens of fuses with no luck. I'm thinking there is something grounded improperly, and am in need of a full wiring diagram. If anybody knows where I can get this or has one, please let me know...
THANKS!

Not sure how much good a wiring diagram will do you - you're going to have to trace what you have to find the problem.
Sure seems like you have a normally positive line that is grounded out - either connected wrong or pinched against the frame somewhere. I'd disconnect as much as you can from any power or from the switch, then hook up one at a time until you blow a fuse again, then trace that line.

Yeah thats what we've been doing, we've unplugged just about everything unpluggable and still the fuse pops as soon as the key is turned on. I was wanting a diagram to see if everything had been hooked up correctly, Since I wasn't around when they took it apart I have no idea what goes where.
