Buying First Quad Today!
Hey guys! First off I am new here at the forum and am very excited to be here! I have been wanting to purchase a quad for God knows how long. I Finally convinced my wife to allow me to pull the trigger!! I am actually buying it for my 2 sons ages 7 and 4 but really.... it's for me!!
I have a local lt160 I found for sale for just a couple hundred bucks. Seems to run well but hit a tree and needs some frame repair in the front end.
Any help or suggestions you guys can give me would be much appreciated!

Buying First Quad Today!
I'm looking for a 2wd beginner quad, used in decent shape. I am fairly mechanically inclined so I can work on it myself to save some money. Like I said I have never owned a quad but always wanted one. I just want something that my boys and I can learn on that's not going to need a ton of money dumped into.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Just about and of the 250 class quads are going to be good beginner quads. They either all have auto or semi auto trannys and shaft drives, all excet the Raptor 250 that is a begginers race (5 speed manual chain drive) quad more in line with the 300 class quads than a 250. This is where I would look for the type of quad you would need, fairly easy and cheep to find!

Well personally, I would be a little worried about a vehicle with frame damage since thats not the easiest piece to replace if need be. When you're looking at the damage, try to see if its just that a-arms and stuff or it the entire frame is trashed. I just did a search on ebay and there doesn't seem to be a ton of parts on there for the 160.
But $200 bucks for a running wheeler isn't usually a bad deal. Take some pics and post them on here or something once you look!
If you aren't impressed do some searches for some 250s like dodgehemi said.
