i bought an 88 suzuki lt 125 for my 9 yr. old daughter. can anyone give me some specs and any and all information on it? i was told it is a 4 stroke, but when i looked in the tank, it has mixed gas. i tried web searches, but only come up with the same "factory" information saying how it is an auto/manual, first on 4 wheels, etc.

It is a 4 stroke engine, so if there is mixed gas in the tank there shouldn't be, you won't as you found out already get much information on the web except for the forums, and I will be willing to help with any information you need about it engine and fuel wise, I have had mine apart many times, and have learned a lot about it. They are fun and last forever and also are tough as nails, and work very good.

thanks, i think the kid i bought it off of didn't realize it was a 4 stroke. it runs really good. starts very hard though, buy once running and warmed up, it starts with 1 pull. the kid spray painted it black and looks like crap. i am going to try to find new plastics on ebay for it. or else strip it and respray it for her.

Yeah the guy I bought mine from sprayed it camo, and it looks terrible. I tried finding plastics I couldn't on ebay the only luck I had was on bikebandit and it costs about $500 so I bought a paint stripper that goes on the end of a screw gun and that works good to get to the red

the speedo cable is there, but speedo is gone. the headlight assembly is missing too. i was thinking of buying a set of plastics and "making" it fit. i dunno. it sure is a crap paint job. i may strip it and leave it the faded red almost pink color. she might like that. where do i find the serial number? i looked all over the block and cannot seem to locate it. i am trying to figure out exactly what year it is.

It is on the front of the frame on the tube going down on the right side if you are sitting on the quad. It might not be there because it is in a high bush contact area but you might be able to find enough information.
