LT230 Web Cam

I think have asked this question before, but I cant get anything on the search so I'm gonna figure I didnt. So sorry if this is a repeat.
Is it worth getting a stage 1 or 2 web cam for my 1986 lt230? I'm boring it +2mm over, with a wiseco piston. I already have the dg full system, a bigger (idk how much) mikuni vm carb, and a uni filter.
Most important to me would be gains in the low & mid range. Top end is nice, but I dont really care about that as much, since I race XC.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Austin

Oh and "stage 1 megacycle" would be p/n: 393-00 right? That's the "hardfaced" model, would there be any advantage to getting the billet one other than that you dont need to send in a core?
And while I'm at it, instead of starting a new post, what's you opinion on the four stroke tech 265cc kit? How would that be with the megacycle cam and stock valves? (Well, stock valve size anyway, but I would upgrade the springs).
And I'm guessing that at 265cc, I would have to bore the cylinder to accept a WAY LARGER sleeve, is this complicated or could I just go to my local machine shop and have them do it?
sorry for asking so many questions, but really, THANKS ALOT MAN FOR ALL THE HELP!

WHAT!? 31.5hp from a 230? Isnt that like stock z400 territory lol?</end quote></div>
No, that's the big bore kit with open exhaust and pretty much unlimited airflow without being forced induction. I figured that's the best way to compare cams.
According to Kawasaki, the mojave puts out 25hp at 8000 stock. Shouldn't be hard to get close to 30 with a pipe and induction mods. So, I don't think the graph is all that unreasonable. But don't concern yourself with the HP numbers, just compare the curves to each other.

The advantage of a billet would be not having to buy new rockers as well. With the hardfaced you'll need new hardfaced rockers.

You can get a +1 intake valve, but good luck finding a shop to grind the seat bigger. The 250S has a stock valve that's 1mm bigger than the 230. For that matter, the 250S head is also ported out in stock form.
I'd get the 260 kit to start with. That will leave you one more bore size until you need to resleeve again. If you start with the 265 kit, once the bore is worn out, you'll need to resleeve. Kustom Kraft did mine and a few other guy's on the forum.
I don't know how the megacycle cam does in anything, but I assume it would add just as much to a 265 kit as it would a 230cc. I know guys that ran a bb kit with a webcams stage 2 cam. They seemed to be very impressed.

Local shop can't do it. You have to send your jug off and wait. They will bore out the old sleeve little by little until its gone and shove a new sleeve in the jug (LA sleeve I think). Then they send you a wiseco 10.25:1 piston and a head gasket. It costs about $350 with everything.
