I just purchased a quadsport 230 not sure what year it is, but i need help with how to figure out if its a 2 or 4 stroke, owner didn't know. Also when it starts it idles good a first then raps out and dies. If anyone can help i would appreciate it. thanks

 

If its a 230, its a 4-stroke.

 

yep its a 4 stroke, and clean out the carb, filter, drain the gas, etc.

re-assemble and if the problem persists, go richer on the main jet.
