I have 04 LTZ400 the oil is backing up into the oil tank, the hose is clear between the oil tank and the motor, when I removed the motor drain plug very little oil came out I had to remove the lower oil hose to drain the oil from the oil tank.

Does anyone have any ideas or seen this problem before?

 

when you drain the motor very little will come out. you also have to drain the oil tank, there is a drain plug in it and you shouldnt have to remove the hose. the motor is a dry sump and doesnt hold much oil in it and pumps the oil from the tank through the motor and back to the tank. the tank holds about 2 1/2 qts
