hello curious if anyone knows of any major mods that can be done to these terds?
I like it has low and super low and 4x4 and 4 lock. But this thing is a straight terd.
If a log is put in front of my tire I will floor it in high range and it will not get over it unless I switch to low. These things really that shitty? max speed is 45 but the speedo says 55. I would like to find a high compression piston and some other goodys to get this to 30hp and I will be happy. I have not been able to find any good aftermarket parts though. anyone have experience with these?

Get more power out of it and you'll soon overpower the limited suspension. The old style KQ is what it is - an excellent go anywhere UTILITY bike. It will get you in and get you out - just slowly. For the amount of $$$ spent needed to get real performance out of a KQ 300, you could find a nice sport utility quad and be better off.
