Eiger 400 tire question?
#1
My son has has a 2006 Eiger and I need to replace the tires. We were riding this weekend and when everyone was playing in the mud he was getting stuck with the factory tires. What would be a cheap but effective replacement and what size can I go to that will not be to heavy? Also do you put the same size up front as you do in the back?

For sizing, just compare the stock sizes - you can stay with the stock size in an aftermarket tire and have a much better tire. If you go up in size, keep the front and read diameter the same, just keep in mind that usually the fronts are a slightly narrower tire. A fatter tire up front will be harder to steer. Stock Eigers come with 25's. You could go to 26's without a lift and without too many power problems. Tires larger than 26" on an Eiger will likely need some motor mods to get some power back.
I put 25" (stock size) mudlites on my Eiger a couple of years ago with good results. As for pricing, check on-line.....however, I have been able to get several sets of ATV tires from a local tire store. Once we factored in the cheaper price for mounting, the local price was the same as what I found on-line.

Can anyone help me?? I have an 06 Eiger. I need cheap original rims. Mine are fine but I need other rims because I am putting turf tires on so my grass will not get chewed up. In a world where everyone is putting on aftermarket rims, someone out there must have old original eiger rims. They do not have be pretty, just in working condition. By the way, any suggestions where to get cheap turf tires. You can email me at.... shawnyodis@comcast.net thanks

ive got the kingquad 400( same as the eiger just with updated plastic and some other stuff) and you wouldnt want to go over 26 inch tires, also dont go with a too agressive tire like outlaws or something because they make for a horrible trail ride and you will lose power since its only a 400cc engine. You want a good tire that can do mud and trail. So mudlites and good for mud and trail but if he doesnt do much mud only occasionally then just get some radial tires.
