suzuki LTF 250 ATV

My ATV will not idle properly, I must have the choke on all the time or it will stall, unfortunately with the choke on it runs to fast to shift up or down effectively.
Any suggestions?

you have an air leak somewhere or no air filter. check your intake and make sure your air filter is on and properly charged
