hi everyone. i just did it. i bought a new 08 king quad 750 camo. it still needs a good wash, but i am wondering what you guys do to help protect your investment. any advice, tips on what to do to help keep it in good shape and looking good? is there anything you can do(I know... keep it out of the mud....lol but that's no fun!) to help make cleanup easier? thanks!

i find a lot of dirt gets king of stuck to the plastics and even if you wash with warm water it will look like its clean but when it dries dirt appears again. So what i did is bought some of those shamwow things they sell on tv and they are really good for drying, and cleaning the plastic. Also after you wash the atv off turn a heater or something on in the garage to dry out the water in the areas you cant get yourself. If u do lots of mud riding get like a k&n filter it will increase power and also prevent more dirt from getting in( suzuki has junky air filters which i know from my kingquad 400) and change the oil like every 500km

hi thanks. i have always just used a suzuki filter on my 99 kingquad. these k&n fliters are an aftemarket item? any special intstall directions for them? where can you buy(dealership?)? will check ebay also. you say for use in mud . is it ok when not getting dirty? thanks! anything else? are the atv cleaner/detailer sprays any good or worthwhile?

Yep they are an inexpensive aftermarket filter almost any atv dealer will have them in stock, and if they dont have your model they can order them.I don't think they are very hard to install, i myself have never used one myself( and if i did i would have gotten my dad to install it cause im only 15 and dont do the technical work lol) but everywhere i go people are talking about how good they are. They somehow increase power i think by providing more air flow, but on the other hand doing a better job at filtering. And most people that use them arent even mud riders themself. Its not a super necessary thing but i have read in dirtwheels magazine that they are one of the best upgrades you can do.So yeah even if your not going to do a lot of mudding they are still a great upgrade. They do say if you ride in a lot of sand and dust areas its almost necessary to upgrade the suzuki filter since its just like a foam type thing.I wouldnt bother with the cleaner sprays though, i find a good bucket of soap does the trick. Remember even if you do a perfect job cleaning its gonna get dirty again next trip! Anyways i hope i helped

it better get dirty!!!!!!!!! otherwise i would have bought a golf cart lol do you think it is worth it to detail it out then spray it down with one of those protectors such as F21 or armor all? it should help with clean-up right? i know the camo should be easy to keep clean. just it was such a big investment i want to take care of it.
