Is there a such thing as manual locking hub for an ATV? I have a 2000 Suzuki Quadmaster and when in 2WD the front axle shafts still spin. I know it is not hurting anything, but if they make hubs for that model or any model, could someone help me out.. Thanks

No, unless a new product has just been released--how about it? High Lifter? Anyone?

Your front half-shafts turn with the front wheels, since you have fixed hubs.

While Polarises have locking hubs, the front half-shafts turn when the front driveshaft turns; right, fellows?

Anyway, since the half-shaft rotation bothers you--don't think you'll find any hubs available that will solve your problem (unless a new product has just emerged). Interesting idea; with manually locking hubs, any 4X4 ATV could become a 2WD machine instantly--maybe High Lifter has something like this as a new product.

I did not think there was any such product. But it might be a good idea. And aftermarket manufacturers who read this. Hint Hint. I know when in riding my ATV in 2WD the front driveshaft still recieves power from the engine, but there is a gear that disconnects in the front diffferential. So what I am saying is that the front diff is disconnected from the engine when in 2WD. The shafts only spin because like said before they are fixed to the wheels. And just like they say about trucks if the front drivetrain is spinning when not needed it will probably cause it to wear out a little faster. ANyone agree, or am I just blowing hot air..
