Default Quad Master 50 kill cord issue

Bought a 2001 or 2002 Quad Master 50 for my son; I really don't know what year, but it's either 01 or 02. The plastic fitting for kill cord on the back has broken where it attached to seat frame. Rather than replace it, can I remove/disconnect it? We truly don't need it nor do we plan to sell it. If so, would you please advise how to go about it? I don't need lotsa detail; slightly smarter than the average bear.

Thanks, Team.

The piece that broke way is apparently the "lock" that holds the "pin fitting" (male end) so that it is plunged into the female end.

So, I am to cut the wire at the female end which is still connected to the ignition, connect them, and check for fire. If not, disconnect them, leaving them disconnected, and seal. ??

Please make sure the power reduction bush is taken out of th exhaust. It is jetted for without so you'll have no end of issues otherwise.

If necaserry i'll uppload a manual scan.
