Default Carb help

Our family has a little X90 quad. we are new to the quads and have had this one less than a year. Service dept. said we may need to drain the foot bowl (?) since it is not wanting to stay running. Can anyone instruct on how to do this? thanks!

Default Float bowl

The float "bowl" is at the bottom of the carb, sort of shaped like a bowl. There is a screw at the bottom of the bowl that you loosen and it will drain the bowl of fuel, usally there is a hose that is connected to the drain, not difficult to find. Is it not running right, not getting enough fuel? If it has been sitting it may be gummed up and have to be cleaned. this is very easy to do. Just draining the bowl dosent really do anything, at least take the bowl off and see if the "seat" is stuck not letting it get any fuel. Let me know if this helps or you need a little more detailed info.

Default Thanks so much!

We have not had a chance to try this yet, but I appreciate your response. I hope this fixes the problem. The Quad is less than a year old but sat up most of the winter. It won't stay running. I called the local dealer where we bought it and they said to try to clean the footbowl first to see if it fixes the problem. Hopefully we can try it tomorrow and I will be sure to post the results or see if we need further help. Thanks again and happy Easter!
