Default help diagnose please

Ok here is full problem with 01 quadrunner 500 hoping to get some feedback on ideas starts and runs fine but lacks power until i run it for awhile then still lacks power until im about half way through a gear then it seems to come out of nowhere i can for sure feel the difference its like night and day and even when i switch gears lackspower till the engine starts to wind out any feedback will help thanks ahead of time

is your gas, airfilter, and carb clean?

also, check your compression and replace the plug while your at it.

well did'nt check compression but i changed plug but by the looks of the old 1 didn't need it tank is clean as is the air box my only issue i put in an earlier post was the guy i bought it off was a friend of a friend who rebuilt the carb but also told me there were pinholes he repaired in the diaphram think maybe his repair not holding up?

sounds like the float in the carb is dirty. tap the bowl with a screw driver a few time and see if it makes a difference.

I had one that did acted similar.when it was running the diaphragm would chatter up and down thus lifting and lowering the mid range needle.the aluminum piece on the bottom of the plunger also wears and then jams on the edges in the carb body.you can try smoothing the bottom corners of the plunger with some emery cloth but your probably going to have to change the complete plunger.think it was about $90 can. hope this helps and good luck

ordered a rebuild kit and the diaphram from the sound of it god place to start plus that repair instead of replacement been bothering me thanks for the feedback ill post either way if it solves my problem or not

well got my installed worked great but now i have new much more serious problem posting it under "front diff case problem" please look thanks
