The spark arrestor on the stock exhaust on my '95 KQ is rusted out. Can I just replace the spark arrestor or do I need a whole new exhaust? Which is better, a Cobra utility or a Supertrapp? Will it hurt the engine to run it as is for a while? MikeR

Too bad you're so far away Mike. I have a new stock muffler from my KQ in the garage. If you're not too picky, shop around a bit and you should be able to get another muffler without spending $$$. But if you've already burned out the muffler, you will be replacing the tail pipe soon, so, think about buying the muffler and tail pipe. That's gonna cost you $200 plus. I have a SuperTrapp and I really like it's performance and ease of installation. You should purchase another mating gasket for the exhaust pipe to tail pipe. I'm sure yours (gasket)is gone by now. Of course there are other manufacturers to consider too. Be smart and look around, find your best price for what you want. Uncle Chuck, has spoken...

It's OK, Mike and I just talked by phone. We have a plan. Hope it works...
