Default Some Questions On LTR450

hey everyone, its been awhile since ive been on the forums. I had a 2005 Yamaha YFZ450 which i loved but was forced to sell, and now im looking to get back into the sport I came across a 2007 Suzuki Ltr450 in excellent shape with many extras for 4000 i think its a good deal and am very interested. I rode it and i really liked it. my only question is...Is there any major problems with these machines that I should know about before I buy it?? Ive always been a Yamaha guy but i really like this machine and it seems like a deal i cant pass up.

no common problems at all.

its just some people say its too wide for woods and obviously the rear 18"s would need to go...

definatley the sexiest looking 450 out there BY FAR.

It's a step up for a yamahahaha guy.
It's a good machine and that sounds like a real deal.

i just bought an '07 Quadracer for $3200, ran across it by luck. The guy took it on a trade and had no use for an ATV (dirtbike guy), sold it to me for how much he had in the dirtbike he traded off

its a nice bike more of a moto bike then the yfz was but if you do at least like 75% track riding then its fine, otherwise if you ride trails you might run into some probs being so wide and only having 18 rears

Coming off an 05 YFZ, to my 08 LT-R I can tell you I've never been happier with a trade. The LT-R's power comes on so smooth, and with a 13T and 20" rears it feels amazing in the woods. It's a little bit on the wide side, like already stated. I went with the GT Thunder A-Arms and Douglas 4/1 front wheels on my race quad and its around 46.5" wide which makes it perfect for XC racing. To me the machine is MUCH more comfortable than a YFZ450, overall the rider position, seat, etc just feels better to me. I'm running the 2" Rox risers and 15* Fasst Flexx bars and it feels great even in the longest race.
