actually, you can sell it to ME if you dont want it hahaha!!!

my r has the "round style" carrier like the earlier 230's. and i HATE IT!

i like the later "square" style like the z400's

and 88 is just the year i need too, cuz the 91-92 models use that triangle link i mentioned earlier, and the 85-86 are round carrier.

so, if things dont work out, let me know.

After what you just said i went to bike bandits to find that i have the 85 86 style with round carrier guess the guy on ebay didnt know what he was talking about. It came with the axle too +3 over the 230 thats why i got it, the swinger was just a bonus. its been laying around so i thought it would be cool to fabricate a longer swingarm.

oh alright, well thats good, since that way you wont need to get a different style carrier.

and i can sure relate to the cracking issue! ive had to do 2 repairs so far just from me bein a stupid @$$ and no torquing the pinch bolts properly, you gotta be CAREFUL with them!

well, good luck and let me know how that welding works out...

hey glad to hear that the welding worked out! and, i guess just measure from the more forward one (drops down below). cuz im pretty sure the shock angle would be too horizontal if u used the one farther back.

hey if any one cares i got that 250 swinger bolted up , had to remove about an 1/4 of an inch of material on the right side for it to fit in the original location. started to make spacers today. it looks pretty sick its about 5 1/2 longer than the 230. the shock mount is about an inch or so longer, any input would be great on spring rate and make model shocks to use.

ill get to it asap...

anyways, ill look into shocks. im thinking something from a 450 would work. you need it to be like an inch longer than the stock shock, right?

i bought a works yfz450 rear shock w res for 20.00 and a lt 450r shock and i have my stock one still .with these 3 i know i can come up with something.the lt 450 shock is about 15 inch.i just dont like the mount at the bottom. the yfz has standard rubber bushings like the 230, so if its a little longer i will try to use that one plus it has more adjustment than the lt450 unit. i will have to drill a hole farther back in the hoop for a proper fit. ive mocked everything up at a 32inch seat height. just waiting for the shocks and a cure for swine flu
