im thinking i can press the bushings out of my stock shock and press them into the yamaha.the lt450r shock has a fork style lower mount alum on alum doesnt seem like a good idea. hey how does you r230 ride with those 250r front shocks

wow man good find!

the yfz shock looks like the easiest venture. and the bushings should be no sweat.

oh and my r shocks on my 230 were AWESOME!!! i just got back from the first ride and im amazed! im doin 20 foot doubles and not even getting near bottoming on the landings!!

plus, theyre even more plush at low speed since they have those fancy progressive rate springs.

I also installed an lt230e rear shock with a rezzie and stiffer spring rate that worked out quite nicely as well.

hahaha i remember looking at that exact same auction lol!!!

cuz i robbed the 250r shocks for my 230 off of, you guessed it, my 250r, leaving it with nothing. so, i bought some used 250r shocks off of ebay that looked nicer than my old ones to put on my 250r. but it turns out i got jipped and they had no juice in them! they just bounce! and the guy wont let me return them either so i had to go and look for MORE 250r shocks and thats when i came across those lol....

sorry i should have sent you the item # when i found those works stock length 250r shocks like 2 weeks ago , the bushings out of my stock shocks would not fit the yfz450r works shock. ive mocked it up though. had to cut off the frame tube to get it to fit,its around 16inch going to put a shock mount there. going to gusset the s#$@ out of it .as soon as i upload pics off my phone i will post them.

started welding the spring mounts this evening, just as a note i had to shorten the brake caliper bracket the 250r is too long the caliper sets more in the upward position now i dont think it should pose a threat. in fact it looks the same as most automotive set ups
