86 LT230 need help no spark

Check the coils in the magneto with an ohmmeter.

pick up coil: Bl/Y - G/W: 100-200 ohms
Power coil: Br-P: 150-350 ohms
lighting coil: O-B: 0-2 ohms

Magnetos put out AC and that's probably why you're getting pulsing readings on your meter.

i checked all the wires they are all good i dont have an ohm meter but i can get one from my friend in the next few days theres a magneto on ebay for 100 some bucks should i just get it?

i checked with the meter and didnt get a thing from any of the wires so i guess the new magneto it is

Which one? The pickup coil? The power coil? The lighting coil? All 3 of those are in the magneto. You may just need one.

Be sure to use locktite on the screws on the magneto. Don't want the screws falling out inside the engine.

theres one on ebay thats the hole thing that ill just get

i just got one of thos bikes and its great where are you getting aftermarket parts? Good luck on fixin the bike
