08 Kingquad 450AXI issues

Post 08 Kingquad 450AXI issues

I'm looking for some info on how to up the throttle response on My Kingquad. It has a stall when you first take off then it will go. It only has 200 miles on it. Please help

Take it to your dealer( it should be around that time for the initial check up thingy that u gotta do for the warrenty anyways). Our kq 400 doesnt do that, and my uncles kingquad 450 has great throttle response when you first take off all the way to full throttle.

Just got it back from the dealer did the first time maintence. I ask them what I could do they said thats just how they run. I have 26" swampfox plus tires on ITP type 7 black rims and a UNI filter.Could any of these things kill the take off power that bad?

probably not the tires, maybe try putting your old filter back in and see if that makes a difference?

I have the King Quad 700 and the lag is in the 450 and 700. I think it's due to the fact they make them run lean for environmental purposes. I think the only way to get rid of the lag (and really pep it up) is with a VDI control module.
