06 z250 help! asap
#1
hey guys,
i have a 2006 z250 and yesterday i went riding and it was really wet. i went through some water and my engine cut off. i lifted the back to make sure no water got in the exhaust and we pushed it to a dry area. it did restart in the water but wouldn't rev. we tilted the bike back and no water came out of the exhaust. i also took out the spark plug and tried to blow any water out and no water shot out of the engine. i also checked the oil and there no water in it either. i also have a snorkel on it so no water got in the airbox. so i went to start it again and it wouldn't start. it just kept clicking like my battery was dead so i jumped it and got it started but now it still wont rev but if i put the choke on it will rev higher. Could this be water in the carb or just needing to read adjust my idle screw? the reason im confused is because no water got in the engine but it wont rev? i just don't get why it will rev with the choke though? if anybody has suggestions plz help
thanks a lot guys,
mike

Most carbs are probably a 4 or 5. Usually it is just the jets and float bowl that will need cleaning, and those are readily accessible and easily removed. there are some small parts so you really need to pay attention. Having a parts diagram handy helps too.
