Default power steering

Ive got a kingquad 400 and my friend has a 2008 honda 500 with eps. I drove it today and is it just me or does the honda powersteering feel the exact same as a normal quad with no powersteering. I sure hope suzuki and yamaha isnt like that( ive heard its much better then hondas) because whats the point of paying that much for powersteering if there isnt much difference anyways. At a complete stop i still had to put quite a bit of pressure on the handlebars to get them to move and at a fast speed there was no difference between my machine. Also youd think for a machine with powersteering it would have fuel injection, irs ,and a diff lock. For the price he paid think of the kingquad 500 that he could have gotten with eps, fuel injection. diff lock, irs. Also our kingquad 400 was at half a tank when their machine had to go on reserve( 120km). 100cc shouldnt make that much of a difference in fuel mileage should it?

I've heard the Polaris XP with power steering is on all the time, the Yamaha Grizzly is also on almost all the time and the Honda is more of an assist. I haven't talked to anyone with the King Quad with EPS yet but have read reviews that it is similar to the Grizzly. One of the things that is mentioned in the reviews I've read is that all of them help reduce kickback from hitting tree roots or rocks at speed. This alone would save people from wrist pain.

well said. the yamaha system is very "active" and you hardly notice it (it reduces bump steer and jerking of the bars by alot) its not so much like a car, however, it will still assist in turning the wheels even when stopped.
