Still Smokin....

Default Still Smokin....

Replaced rings,oil seal,valve seals and set the valves on my 87 230. It still smokes...what's left that it could still smoke ?

did your have the cylinder honed when you did the rings i went threw all that on a warrior i used to have the cylinder looked good hand honed it and threw rings in it had the head done and it still smoked ended up boring it .020 over and it was mint problem solved.

I put an overbored piston with new rings and jug was honed. Only thing I didn't replace were the valves and springs. Im still gettn oil in the exaust pipe...where else would the oil be gettn through?

Did you stagger the ring grooves? When I have re-ringed, it was all put in dry of oil and only a spray of CRC or similiar.

Its your valve seals...they either werent put in right (snapped in place) or they were the wrong ones.
