eiger electrical problem
#1
I have a 02 eiger that stalls out after warm up, will not spark unless you turn off and back on the key switch or the thumb switch. after cycleing one of the switches it will start back up and run a wyle then do it agan. What is reseting when i turn off and back on the switches is there a relay somewhere that could be causing this.

I'm wondering if your coil or CDI unit are thermally intermittent--work fine when cool, but fail as they warm up.
Purchase a can of Freeze Spray at Radio Shack. Expose/access the CDI and coil. Fire up the quad, and just as it begins to sputter, spray the device (CDI or coil) with the Freeze Spray, thus instantly cooling it, and see if cooling that particular device keeps the quad running.

I suspect the coil or cdi of breaking geting hot and quiting but why dose it fire up every time when i turn the one of the switches off and on? I can crank and crank and get no spark, turn one of the switches off and on and bam i get a spark every time. somthing is reseting when i turn the power off and back on.

That brief time interval is sufficient time for the device to cool down enough to operate again.
The only relay that is operating when you shut everything off and the restart is the starter relay.
I assume you have checked all connections, including the battery cables, for "clean & tight"?
