I have an Idea. (gonna take some work) but It may be the problem. First, If it were me, I'd take off the back plastic, and take off the starter, and look in the hole and see if I see the main starter gear. Then, if its in, you may have to pull the right sidecover to see if theres a stripped gear, broken gear, or a gear that somebody took out. (Dont worry about a sidecover gasket, On this side you can use silicone if you get it on really good and thick.
Also: Skematics of the inside of this motor can be found at Www.bikebandit.com Im not sure if it shows the gears or not though.

It's your starter clutch (most likely). If your gear has all of its teeth, then it's the starter clutch. You will have to remove the side cover, and pull the flywheel.
