I have a 1985 Suzuki Quad Runner 250 that is making a high pitched noise. The noise is coming from what it sounds like the back right tire. It doesnt make the noise when I first start out but then the noise starts and continues off and on. Any ideas on what could cause this noise?

Sounds like you have a bad axle bearing , you should ride the quad without using the brakes to see if it starts to squeal ; if it does start squealing after riding without using the brakes it's most likely the wheel or axle bearing .

After riding the quad untill it starts to make the squealing jack up the rear end and try to check for free play by shaking the rear wheel side to side and up and down , i've heard the rear brake make squealing noise when they start wearing out ; but i would check out the brearings first !
