87 230s electric problems
Hi,
So where do i start????
1. The power generator seems not to be working? is there any way to measure it?
2. Does anybody know which 2 wires from the generator are for the charger controller?
3. Did the original 230s have a battery?
due to the fact that my quad is in Germany and in order for them to get registered
I have to have the complete lights blinkers and brake lights.
4. Will the generator be powerful enough to charge a battery?
5. If my controller is dead will a generic 4 pin controller be enough?
Thanks for any help
Brian

A 230s is a kick start model, so no battery. The generator system is enough for a headlight and tail light, so hooking into it for turn signals and a brake light would be quite a draw on the system if they were all on at once. My suggestion would be LED's. You could have a ton of them and not over-demand the system.
