Default Motor Mods

I have a 2006 and want start getting more power the only catch is I really done want to change the stock exhaust because I like how it is quiet and I can sneak by if needed. Although if I could get an aftermarket one that is as quiet but breaths better I will, any recommendations? I was thinking cams maybe a stroker kit. Shoot me some combos to see what I can get out it

theres no neet to re-jet if other changes arent made. id start with a filter but after that, you should really get a quiet pipe that flows better before you bore, port, or cam it. you may wanna try a bigger carb too. i heard stock yfz carbs work well. severe mods like that arent worth it if theyre just gonna get choked down by a restrictive stock exhaust.

theres tons of quiet pipes out there, but otherwise i cant tell you much cuz quiet aint my thing haha

Anyone know which pipes are quieter than the other? Ive looked at edlebrock carbs they claim to give up to 32 hp. I was thinking that cams, pipe, and the k&n power lid w/ filter

skip the k&n and get a UNI with an outwearers filter lid. superior to k&n as far as off road toys go.

the cams and stroking and all that are major mods that come waaaay after the pipe and jetting and air filter mods. you have to do these basic three in order to get power on a budget. and even if you wanna sink hundreds or even thousands in the other stuff stock components are all out the window anyway

Thanks newport I've looked at some dyno jet kits ill probably scoop up one of those. Do you know what brand of pipes might be on the quiet side? I'm looking to be able to keep my "stealth" so to speak when I need it.

Dude, your machine is plenty fast. Get some shocks so that you can handle the speed you have now.
