i just spent all day putting the top end back on my 230 quadsport. it sat for like 3 or 4 months in the cold with the magneto cover and top end off. i finally get it back together and all i rin into is problems. my new 200 dollar mikuni flat side carb is too big and has to be mounted sideways. the cable that comes with the carb is too long and i have to use my old busted one. the thumb throttle bolts are stripped and have to be grinded off. it actually has compression now and lots of it...so much in fact that it cant be push started in 5th gear. i take the bike in the garage to find out that its not getting spark. i didnt touch anything electrical so now im stuck. its pretty ironic that since i had the bike i had the top end off twice. both times when i got it back together theres no spark. i dont know what ill do tomorrow. hopefully find the problem and maybe actually get to ride the quad

uhh, good luck getting it to run with the carb sideways. The fuel bowl has to be UNDER the carb for it to hold fuel and properly actuate the float itself.
