LT80 Whip Flag
#1
Hey all, excellent forum. I'v learned a lot in here. Just signed up today so I can post too!
I bought an mint condition '99 LT80 for my 7 year old in the fall - $500! He loves it. The thing is it only ran well with the choke on but after reading some of this forum I decided to pull the carb and clean the pilot jet, it's beautiful now! thanks guys. Of course I over cranked it and burned up the starter. $55 later and some more advice from this forum, like manually choke it with your fingers (started right up then) and advice on how to pull the darn starter (little bugger), and she's running sweet again.
I want to put a whip flag on it. Does anyone know what size to get? length/diameter?
Also, anyone know of an inexpensive way to get a head light on the thing? I know they sell kits, but I was hoping someone knew where to buy just some LED light that would work. I'd hate to spend a lot on it and want to avoid replacing the stator.
Thanks....

moose racing sells flag kits and maier makes a headlight kit to fit right on there. i took my kids old lt80 and just wired it into the electrical system. since its electric start if they ride at night it primarily has the battery to run off of, so i didnt upgrade the stator and didnt have any charging problems at all
