1991 Suzuki 250 quadracer
#1
Hi I have a option to get a suzuki 250 quadracer for 800.00, it seems like a good deal to me. I know the guy so I know it is a good machine, I will copy and paste his emails let me know if you guys think its a good deal.
His first email which had pics enclosed.
Engine was bored .40 over with a Wiseco piston and has less than 10hrs on it, Renthal bars, FULL Fatty FMF exaust, twist throttle, New black seat, Plastics are nice no cracks, tires are good. Fast and fun. No time to ride. Needs front brakes and clutch work. $800 **FIRM** (engine rebuild cost me $1000 alone)

And what he says is wrong with it.
The issue with the clutch is that it was sticking last time I rode it. So I took it apart and filed the basket lightly to stop the plates from sticking. I put everything back the way it came out but now the kick start lever is not striking the internals to start the engine and the clutch is not engaged.I have a repair manuel brand new that comes with the bike. I know it is a SIMPLE fix its just I dont have time to fix it.
Do you guys think it is worth it.

im pretty sure that the 250r uses full-circle gears for the kicker mechanism so its unlikely that the gears arent in time with each other and arent meshing (which is a common assembly mistake with common pie or half moon kicker gears). SO, like newport said, have a good look under the cover if he will let you. but even with that said, the chances of it costing more than $50 to fix is LOW. so $800 for a 91? HELL YEAH id take it!
